Capetonians have taken to the idea with excited enthusiasm, relishing the opportunity to design their own meals – and having so much fun preparing it themselves, that they don’t mind the wait, as they watch their meal prepared by themselves on a table-top barbeque at their own table! And to ensure that their flavours are theirs alone, individual retractable bronze extractors are fitted above each table!
With game, meat, chicken, veggies, ostrich, beef fillet, Daegi Galbi (thin strips of pork belly prepared in a Korean marinade) and vegetarian skewers on offer, along with specific marinades, diners are spoilt for choice – and have the option of adding side dishes to their freshly barbequed dish!
Unconventional, cool, industrial décor, Korean-styled food, with a very South African fusion, a charged atmosphere, fun concept and social interaction – that’s what Galbi brings to the table!
